APSEs local authority apprentice and trainee awards 2017 – Highways, street lighting and winter maintenance apprentice of the year
The APSE local authority apprentice and trainee awards highlight the great work councils are doing to support excellence in training standards within local authorities and their partner organisations throughout the UK, as well as showcasing the best apprentices and trainees and their commitment. The awards scheme is open to candidates from all stages of training and has been running successfully for 15 years.
We would encourage all local authorities to put forward both those who are on skills apprenticeships or training schemes such as:
The awards are open to all local authorities whether members of APSE or not.
APSE encourages all councils to promote the achievements of their staff and their own training providers and being involved in a nationally recognised awards scheme is one way of doing just that.
Entry to these awards is free of charge and successfully shortlisted candidates and their local authority receive individual awards to recognise the achievements of both the apprentice and the employer.
The awards evening will take place at APSE’s National highways, street lighting and winter maintenance seminar in March 2017.
