Download the Microsoft Teams app
Teams can be accessed through your browser, however, the app for pc, phone or tablet is highly recommended to prevent issues.

Please take a moment to read through our virtual meeting etiquette

Join the event at least fifteen minutes early
Joining the event early will give you a chance to deal with any technical issues without missing out. Please refer to our FAQs for further assistance.

“I’m having to wait to be let in to the meeting”
You may be on hold for a few seconds until you’re admitted to the meeting.
If you’ve joined the meeting early, you may not be admitted until the official meeting start time.

“Teams is simply not working in my browser”
We do not recommend running teams in your browser, but you may try opening the meeting in Microsoft Edge. Alternatively, please try downloading the free app on your computer or phone.

“Teams is not working in Citrix/my virtual workspace”
We highly recommend not running Teams in virtual workspaces like Citrix.

“Audio/video is lagging/unclear”
This is usually due to poor internet connection; please use an ethernet cable or sit close to your WiFi box for these online events.
Any issues on APSE's end will be rectified as quickly as possible.

“I can’t see/use the chat function”
Please click the "speech bubble" icon in the toolbar in the top-right of your screen.

“I’m stuck in the lobby!”
Please try restarting your device or using a different device such as a smartphone. You can use personal devices.
In the rare event that the session will not be going ahead, APSE will notify delegates as soon as possible.

“The PowerPoint slides are stuck!”
Please try leaving and re-entering the meeting as this is rarely an issue on APSE's end.
If there is an issue on APSE's end, delegates will be notified and it will be resolved as soon as possible.

“My problem isn’t listed here/the listed solution didn’t work”
Please contact your organisation’s IT helpdesk or refer to Microsoft’s official troubleshooting guide.
