Duty Manager - Doncaster Culture & Leisure Trust

Doncaster Culture & Leisure Trust - Striving for healthier communities.

Duty Manager

Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trust (DCLT) has undergone a review of its leisure management team, which has resulted in several internal promotions. As such, there are now vacancies for Duty Managers across several of our venues.

Combined with this we are preparing for the reopening of our regional attraction, The Lagoons at The Dome following a £15 million refurbishment leading to further exciting opportunities.

Venues include:

  • The Lagoons, The Dome (F/T 40 hours per week)
  • Adwick Leisure Complex (F/T 37 hours per week)
  • Thorne Wellbeing and Leisure Hub (F/T 37 hours per week)
  • Askern Leisure Centre (F/T 37 hours per week)

As a Duty Manager you will be required to maintain good supervision of the leisure facilities, communicate effectively with all centre users and colleagues, and have an awareness of problems and preventing accidents. Preparing activities for customers and cleaning duties are also part of the working day in always ensuring a customer focused environment.

Overseeing staff management, and rota planning, controlling security of staff and customers, financial reconciliation, and reporting will form part of your role. You will be required to operate plant systems to ensure they run effectively, efficiently and safely.

You will be working in a fun, lively environment with likeminded people and help to inspire and lead others to work together and deliver their very best. Work patterns will include evenings and weekends, as well as Bank Holidays.

Experience as a team leader, a supervisor, or in a similar management role, would be an advantage.

An up-to-date pool lifeguard qualification will be required along with a current pool plant operators’ qualification, and you will need to complete ongoing training and competency assessment.

Working with us as a Duty Manager can be a great first step into management or moving into other roles as your career progresses with us. We can support you to achieve your ambitions and goals.

What else do we offer?

  • Competitive salary (£29,000 FTE - 37 hours/week)
  • Annual leave of 28 days, including Bank Holidays
  • Cycle to work scheme.
  • Access to swimming and fitness gyms
  • Ongoing training and development, opportunities to learn (including professional qualifications).
