Starting salary £31,346 per annum

The post is graded (SCP 27 – 35) £31,346 to £38,890

Performance Related Pay up to £8,888 depending on performance

 

As a key provider of Local Government training in the UK, APSE has created a new post and is looking for an exceptional, imaginative and motivated Senior Training Officer to join our expanding training arm. 

 

APSE (Association for Public Service Excellence) is a local authority membership association, specialising in the vital frontline services, provided by councils across the UK, including Waste Management, Parks, Allotments, Climate Change and Sustainability, Crematoria and Cemeteries, Highways, School Catering and more.

 

As the Senior Training Officer, you would design, develop and deliver courses and also support our strategies, service planning and work programme, as directed by the national Head of Training. You would be expected to work alone and within teams, delivering a range of lifelong learning opportunities for clients.

 

We are looking for a motivated and experienced training specialist to join our growing team.

  • Are you able to design, deliver and evaluate a broad variety of training?
  • Do you have excellent presentation skills?
  • Do you have outstanding customer focus and the ability to seek out and execute new business opportunities?
  • Are you able to work independently, under pressure and meet performance targets?
  • Do you have experience and knowledge of the Local Government sector?
  • Do you have knowledge and experience of training software and delivery platforms?
  • Are you able to communicate, at a variety of levels, in different formats?

In addition to the excellent salary the successful candidate will receive:

  • Flexible working hours, Monday to Friday
  • A starting salary of £31,346 with opportunities to progress through the pay scale to a maximum salary of £38,890
  • 24 days holiday plus all statutory public holidays
  • Can apply to join the Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Opportunity to apply for occasional home working
