With the devastating impact of Storms Agnes and Babet being felt within our communities, the need for Local authorities to play leading roles in addressing, exploring and reviewing how best to tackle the ever increasing challenges around flooding and climate mitigation as taken on more urgency.
This online Central Region event brings together a range of expert speakers that will be exploring steps local authorities have taken and are continuing to take in developing and supporting their services and communities. The event is intended to provide a strategic overview of the UK's response to the ever increasing occurrence of flood events and further impacts of changing weather patterns, case studies of coordinated, effective emergency response and practical means to ensure future resilience of local infrastructure.
A must attend event is Free to Attend for APSE Central Region Member Councils and is a must attend for those officers and elected members an interest or responsibility for facilitating flood response, prevention and recovery, and climate change response.
