Decentralised energy: An opportunity for councils
The Hospitium, York Museum Gardens on 26 June 2014
We used to understand what kind of entity an ‘energy company’ was. Whether that was a nationalised or privatised utility. But this definition is increasingly coming under scrutiny as energy companies diversify and new entrants to the market emerge.
The workshop with Andrew Mack, the Head of Strategy at OVO Energy and John Harrison, Executive Director of Resources at Perborough City Council will provide an excellent opportunity for members of APSE Energy and other local authorities to consider the issues involved and explore the potential for local government to become directly involved with and on behalf of communities in the generation, distribution and supply of energy.
This event is FREE to attend for members of APSE energy. This includes a full delegate place and information, arrival coffee and registration, mid-morning break and lunch. The workshop will allow delegates to network over lunch.
