This event is free to attend for 2 representatives from each APSE Energy member authority and we recommend a senior officer and councillor with relevant responsibilities attends. It seems natural that those councillors who are leading on the delivery of climate emergency action plans will have most to gain from attending this event. It is also a good opportunity for officers to ensure their councillors are aware of the context within which action plans, policies and projects are expected to be delivered.
This is a 2 day event with a mix of plenary sessions, workshops and case study presentations. Speakers will include local authority offices with experience of implementing individual policies and projects, BEIS and other relevant organisations, APSE Energy representatives and suppliers with specific technical expertise. All will be talking about topics related to the climate change/sustainability/energy agenda in an aim to inform delegates about the latest projects underway, approaches taken and products and services available.
We understand that local authorities have a role to play to address this agenda but may not have the capacity to fulfil that role. Our aim is to support our members to be more informed and to learn from others across the local government sector.
APSE Energy Member Authorities Receive 2 Free Places – summit attendance, hotel accommodation and meals are included.
