After liaison with speakers, member councils and delegates, the APSE Annual General Meeting and accompanying Seminar and Charity Awards Dinner will go ahead. However we have some important announcements to make:
A Book of Condolence
A book of condolence will open at Swansea Civic Centre which APSE Delegates are invited to take the time to sign during their time in Swansea and under the auspices of the preserved Royal County of West Glamorgan.
Tributes to the Queen
At the opening of the seminar on Wednesday 14 September a 2 minute silence will be held and we would respectfully ask all delegates, exhibitors and speakers to take part.
Annual General Meeting
A tribute to the Queen will be presented to the Annual General Meeting by Armed Forces Champion Cllr Archie Dryburgh MBE, a veteran of The Gordon Highlanders (who have since merged with The Queen's Own Highlanders to form The Highlanders).
APSE Annual Charity Dinner
The National Anthem will be played at the start of the Annual Dinner followed by a two minute silence and a tribute to HM Elizabeth II from incoming APSE National Chair Alderman Tommy Nicholl MBE.
