This webinar is FREE for APSE Energy members

APSE Energy is hosting a webinar on Developing a Fleet Decarbonisation Strategy post‑LGR, where we’ll explore how Westmorland & Furness Council brought together vehicles, plant, and depots from four legacy councils and turned this complex starting point into a clear pathway toward a net zero fleet. Hear how options were assessed, the strategic steps taken, and the key lessons learned, including what the Council wishes they’d known before starting. This session is ideal for any authority navigating fleet transformation or planning its decarbonisation journey.

During the session, we will hear from Austin Shields, Senior Manager: Fleet Services, Westmorland & Furness Council. Please see an outline of what Austin will cover below:

Developing a Fleet Decarbonisation Strategy post LGR

  • Inheriting vehicles, plant and depots from four legacy councils
  • How did we assess our options?
  • Setting out a pathway to a net zero fleet
  • What we wish we had known ahead of developing the strategy?

Austin Shields, Senior Manager: Fleet Services, Westmorland & Furness Council

There will be a chance to ask questions of the speaker and discuss some of the points raised.
