In this webinar we heard from Giles Liddell, Environmental Performance Co-ordinator at Bristol City Council, who spoke on how the carbon emissions data can be best put to use, beyond simple reporting of total emissions, including how to engage with different teams and how to present the data in a way that will achieve the best results.
We also heard from Heather Richardson, Decarbonisation Project Officer at Caerphilly County Borough Council on the Council’s approach to assessing service area emissions, including how they are accounting for supply chain emissions and dealing with issues around data availability.
Following these presentations, Phil Brennan Head of APSE Energy, outlined the APSE Energy approach to measuring emissions, calculating carbon footprints and producing trajectories/action plans to a net zero target date. Phil also outlined APSE Energy and APSE Performance Networks’ new data template and benchmarking work on local authority carbon emissions, which is launching soon.
There will be a chance to ask questions of the speakers, talk about activities at your council and discuss some of the issues raised.
