APSE Energy Webinar - Local Engagement & Inclusion

With inclusion listed as one of the 4 key themes of COP28, on 12 December, APSE Energy held a webinar looking at engagement and inclusion around the climate change agenda from a local authority perspective. This webinar offered an opportunity to learn from different approaches by local authorities to engaging with their residents. Local authorities play an important role as a community leader, therefore strong and inclusive community engagement is vital in gaining public support for climate change initiatives and working towards net zero.

Presentations:

Gwen Kinloch, Sustainability Manager, Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council: People's Jury on the Climate Change Crisis

Kerrell Boardman, Climate Change Manager, Wigan Council: Wigan's Youth Climate Summit
