APSE Energy, Nottingham City Council and the Danish Trade Council are supporting the Danish Board of District Heating Seminar 2019 to be held at Nottingham Council House on the 26th and 27th February 2019. The Danish heat network sector is one of the foremost in the world and this is an opportunity to hear from heat network experts and network with others in the sector. There will be a number of presentations looking at all elements of a district heating project and related issues as well as a chance to ask questions and debate relevant issues.
On day 1 representatives from BEIS will be speaking about the government’s support via HNDU and HNIP alongside a number of experts looking at approaches to district heating, the future of the energy market, planning, management, delivery and geothermal.
There is also a chance to have a free private consultation and speak at length with representatives from a number of expert Danish companies with a wealth of technical, operational, development and societal experience about the detail of projects you may be considering taking forward. They are willing meet on the second day of the event, 27th February or travel to your local authority if it is within about travel time of about 2 hours of Nottingham. Given government support and subsidy available for heat networks it is important that local authorities keep up to date with the latest developments with the technology and understand how their localities might benefit from investing in heat networks.
There is no charge to attend this event. Representatives from all local authorities are welcome and the content of the seminar would be relevant to those officers and councillors with responsibility for heating projects, energy management, investment decisions, asset management, fuel poverty, economic development, regeneration schemes and similar services areas.
