APSE Energy will be working on a research project to explore the breadth of opportunity for councils to engage in the energy agenda. It will focus on how they can use the range of assets that each council owns. The intention is to help officers and councillors understand the variety of energy possibilities which exist across the local authority estate and the benefits that can be realised. It will also highlight work already completed as a learning tool for others across the sector.

We are keen to include as many examples of local authority activity as possible and all projects are welcomed. We want to hear about a wide variety of examples and technologies that could be useful case studies for others in local authorities across the UK. These might be case studies related to external investments, specific generation projects. policy work, energy efficiency, ESCos or other schemes or approaches.
