Health Club Manager

Doncaster Culture & Leisure Trust (DCLT) is currently seeking an ambitious, proactive, and self-motivated individual to oversee the Health and Wellbeing operation at Choose Fitness, Balby.

This is an exciting time to be joining DCLT. Following significant investment in 2024 the venue has grown in membership and customer service standards are high.

Position:              Heath Club Manager

Salary:                 £30,869

Hours:                  Average of 37hrs, may include days, evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays

About the role: The Health Club Manager will implement and oversee all related operational responsibilities across the venue, to include the gym, studios and tenants.

The position is a ‘hands on’ role, working at the front line.  

As the responsible manager on site they will lead and motivate all contracted and casual colleagues to drive sales and deliver high standards of customer service and care. 

The Health Club Manager- Choose Fitness Balby will report to the Area Manager, Leisure, with support from the Group Leisure Manager to implement new promotional, sales, and operational strategies to drive profitability while establishing a clear brand for the venue and the generation of income from new secondary spend options. 

About you:

You will hold a Level 2 Fitness qualification, and Leisure Management qualifications or equivalent, and ideally, First Aid at Work, plus Food Safety Qualification. Ongoing training will also be provided.

You will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to motivate a team. You believe in a customer centric approach and are passionate about ensuring every employee inspires to achieve your same standard. You will have the ability to identify and demonstrate expected standards and develop staff to achieve excellence.
