Interim Operations and Business Lead - APSE Synergy

APSE is launching a wholly owned trading company reflecting the Association’s growth and ambitions. The new company will operate under APSE’s ethos and values, on a non-profit basis. Providing expert advisory, consultancy and interim management services to local councils across the whole of the UK.

To support the transition to the new company APSE is looking to engage an interim operations and business lead for support of around 2 days per week for the next 4-6 months.

The right candidate will be:-

• Experienced in assisting business transition to a trading company
• Experienced in the operational management of a trading or ‘Teckal’ company in  the local authority / non-profit sector
• Able to demonstrate competence in company accounts, systems, risk and compliance measures
• Adept at forward planning for business results
• Able to demonstrate working knowledge and experience of consultancy services, and ideally interim management markets, preferably in local government / the non-profit sector
• Able to manage an existing staff team and client base in the transitional period and perform an operational role in support of the new company

There is an expectation of in person attendance at APSE’s Manchester Office (some offsite working can be agreed) whilst embedding the company to full operational capacity.
