About Us

One of six regions, APSE Southern incorporates all member authorities within the South East and South West of England including London.

To complement APSE’s activities across the UK, the Southern region has a dedicated team working to share emerging innovation in public service provision and coordinate professional networks across a wide range of local authority service areas.

The region is governed by the Southern Region Council who are elected annually at the AGM and represent the region on APSE’s National Council.

Promoting excellence in public services

APSE (Association for Public Service Excellence) is a not for profit unincorporated association working with over 300 councils throughout the UK. Promoting excellence in public services, APSE is the foremost specialist in local authority frontline services, hosting a network for frontline service providers in areas such as waste and refuse collection, parks and environmental services, cemeteries and crematorium, environmental health, leisure, school meals, cleaning, housing and building maintenance.
