The Parks, Horticulture and Grounds Maintenance Advisory group provides an opportunity to share and hear case studies of successful innovations in parks services, delivering improvements in service provision for residents, efficiencies through smarter working practises and additional income streams. A typical agenda may include policy updates from sector partners, details of recent Advocacy work and facilitate professional development through learning and networking with peer parks professionals. All meetings are free to attend and there is no upper limit on how many staff and elected members may attend from each APSE member authority. The group also has the opportunity to gather within the context of Future Focus, the Southern Region's seminar exploring innovative initiatives in service delivery to meet future challenges and at our regional Parks and Open Spaces seminar. To register your details to receive details of upcoming meetings, please complete our contact form, stating your service interest areas.

Previous queries have sought feedback on horticultural practises and weed control methods, events’ strategies and tree management policies. To disseminate a query, please fill out our online request form here. To request a copy of the feedback from a previous query, please click here.
Through Performance Networks, APSE has been supporting member authorities to benchmark outcomes in Parks, open spaces and horticultural services since 2000. Developed organically, under the direction of service managers, the benchmarking group has grown to a UK wide network and conduit of performance information exploring outcomes in cost, quality and productivity.
