UX Energy Services, one of the leading providers of energy procurement, risk management, carbon management and compliance services to corporate, I&C and government sectors has joined APSE Energy as a commercial partner.
This new partnership puts UX Energy Services at the front of core developments with innovative local councils developing municipal energy schemes.
APSE Energy is a growing network of over 50 UK wide local councils who are developing innovative local energy solutions to address fuel poverty, income generation from energy including renewables, and develop schemes which support local economic growth, jobs, skills and regeneration.
Mark Bramah, Director of APSE Energy said “I am delighted to welcome UX Energy Services as a commercial partner. Whilst our member councils are innovative in the field of municipal energy it is important to have effective advice and support on risk and price volatility. A partnership with UX Energy Services will help our member councils get that support from a reliable partner organisation.”
Speaking at the launch of the partnership at the Nextgen Expo Exhibition at Stoneleigh Park, Alastair Harris, Chief Executive Officer of UX Energy Services added “Energy is a complex marketplace where it is essential to have the right skills and knowledge on procurement issues, carbon management and regulatory compliance. We are looking forward to working with APSE Energy member councils to help them deliver for local communities”.
Chief Executive of APSE Paul O’Brien commented “As councils face financial pressures on budgets they have a stark choice. Reduce services or embrace innovation; those councils developing local energy strategies are taking the innovative route but it is important that they are supported along the way by trusted organisations. I welcome the new partnership with UX Energy Services and I hope that the coming years will provide a rewarding commercial partnership that benefits our APSE member councils.
UX Energy Services were presented with their certificate as an APSE Energy Commercial Partner by John Harrison, Director of Resources for Peterborough City Council and a member of APSE’s National Council.
