Interviews with BBC Radio
On Tuesday 23rd August, APSE was invited to take part in radio interviews on BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio 5 Live regarding the increase in the amount of waste being sent for recycling by local authorities. Headlines, which quoted 84% increases in recycled waste being rejected, sent shockwaves across Britain’s media, who questioned if it was still worth residents recycling.
APSE believes that there is more to this debate than first meets the eye. Chief Executive Paul O'Brien was interviewed by BBC Radio 4 to discuss the wider issues in this debate. Principal Advisor for waste and recycling Wayne Priestley spoke to BBC Radio 5 Live, also seeking to highlight the bigger picture in this debate.
