APSE is thrilled to announce our Transport and Horticulture Apprentices of the Year as well as the winners of our inaugural Environmental Services Innovation Awards.
Announcing the Apprentice Award winners, APSE Principal Advisor, Wayne Priestley, said, ‘Once again, APSE was overwhelmed by the number and calibre of entries. All of our finalists should be extremely proud of their commitment to improving local horticultural and transport services.’ Speaking of the new Environmental Services Innovation Awards, Wayne said, ‘The Awards provide local authorities with a richly-deserved opportunity to showcase their expertise. More than ever, it is vital we recognise examples of environmental service innovation amongst APSE members.’
APSE Chief Executive Paul O’Brien said, 'Our outstanding finalists in each category have all shown exceptional qualities and are a credit to their local authorities. The Apprentice Awards underline just how invaluable apprenticeships are to ensuring excellence in the delivery of frontline services. We're also delighted with the response to our first ever Environmental Services Innovation Awards. By holding these Awards, APSE hopes to encourage innovation in local government. As our finalists have shown, invention is essential if councils are going to maximise the value of green spaces and secure long-term economic and social benefits for their communities.’
Congratulations to the deserving winners and our wonderful range of finalists!
