Ben Parsons, APSE Solutions Senior Consultant
What is your professional background?
Before coming to APSE, I worked in local government as an Operations Manager in Facilities and Environmental Services.
What is your role at APSE?
I’m the person to speak to about any consultancy work you may need help with. I’ll also be helping to offer project support. In terms of frontline services, I specialise in waste collection, cleansing and building cleaning – but I’m looking forward to learning more about different service areas.
What’s your favourite thing about your role?
I enjoy meeting APSE members and I’m looking forward to working closely with them on some new, interesting projects.
Where can APSE members meet you?
I’ll be attending a variety of APSE seminars and advisory group meetings, so I’ll probably see you there. You can also email me on [email protected] or call me at the APSE office on 0161 772 1810.
What is your professional background?
I have previously worked in Higher Education as an Examinations Assistant. I also hold a degree in Drama and have stage and opera singing experience.
What is your role at APSE?
I take care of the general administrative responsibilities. I’m also the go-to database person so if you’re a Performance Networks member, you’ll probably work with me at some point!
What’s your favourite thing about your role?
I really enjoy event organising, making sure that everyone has been booked in properly and ensuring that everything is in order. I’m looking forward to helping out on bigger events, like the APSE Annual Seminar.
Where can APSE members meet you?
I can usually be found in the APSE Manchester office, where you can email me on [email protected] or call 0161 772 1810. I’ll also be helping out at some of our seminars, where I’ll be greeting delegates and ensuring the event runs smoothly.
What is your professional background?
I used to work as a Democratic and Governance Officer for Cornwall Council, providing advice and guidance in relation to governance and constitutional issues. In addition, I have worked closely with elected members and officers to develop policy and provide pre-decision scrutiny within the Young People and Planning Portfolios.
What is your role at APSE?
I’m looking after the Central region in England. I’ll also be dealing with a few different service areas; housing, construction and building maintenance, as well as facilities management, building cleaning and catering.
What’s your favourite thing about your role?
I’m looking forward to meeting and working with members and having the opportunity to undertake research.
Where can APSE members meet you?
You’ll meet me at one of our advisory groups or seminars. I’ll be out and about a lot but even when I’m not in the APSE office, you can contact me by calling 0161 772 1810 or emailing me on [email protected].
