Rewarding Excellence in Scotland

Rewarding Excellence in Scotland

APSE is delighted to announce the winners of the APSE Scotland Building and Housing Apprentice Awards and the Margo Blair Award 2019.

Speaking of the Apprentice Awards, APSE Chief Executive Paul O'Brien said, "The finalists are a credit to their councils. To see so many hard-working, intelligent people of all ages dedicated to improving their communities fills me with enormous confidence for the future. The talent on display last night just goes to highlight the importance for local authorities in investing in apprenticeship schemes."

The Margo Blair Award, now in its second year, honours the late Margo Blair, a champion of local government best practice and performance improvement. The Award recognises the excellent work which Scottish local authorities are currently involved in within their services. Speaking of the award, APSE Scotland Chair Cllr Les Sharp said, "The finalists have shown that, as demand grows for services, they are providing groundbreaking and truly innovative solutions; helping to maintain world-class service delivery. A big well done and thank you to all involved."

The winners were announced at the APSE Scotland Building and Housing Seminar in Dunblane on Thursday 7 February 2019.
