Rising Stars in Scotland

Rising Stars in Scotland

APSE is delighted to announce the the winners of the APSE Scotland Rising Star Awards 2019.

These awards provide an excellent opportunity for local authorities to put forward their most deserving individuals; those with innovative ideas and solutions to the current challenges facing Scottish frontline services.

Speaking of the awards, APSE Principal Advisor for Scotland Louise Melville said, "At a time of financial uncertainty for council services in Scotland, it is hugely encouraging to see such a high level of commitment and inventiveness from this year's finalists. Whether it is developing highly successful mentoring programmes, tackling the scourge of funeral poverty or finding creative ways to reduce the costs of a service, the winners of this year's awards have a very bright future; their councils and communities should be extremely proud of their achievements."

The winners were announced at the APSE Scotland Fleet, Waste and Grounds Seminar in Aviemore on Thursday 16 May 2019.
