APSE Annual Service Awards 2020

You don’t need to hold out for a hero!

Because local government has plenty......

......and we will be celebrating them on Wednesday 16 December as we bring our Service Awards 2020 online!

Join APSE as we celebrate the best in local government with our online Service Awards 2020. We promise it will be a glittering occasion – so no home-working joggy bottoms allowed! Dust off your glad rags and join in the awards – whether at home, in the office or depot, or otherwise safely distanced with colleagues, we will be announcing the best in UK local government. You can view a full list of this year's finalists here. 

Joining links

Joining links will be issued for all bookings received so far no later than Friday 11 December. For those finalists councils your representative will also receive information about how finalists can take part in the awards ceremony online. Please do not worry if you have not yet received your joining link.

When will we find out if we are shortlisted?

All finalist councils will be notified no later than Friday 20 November 2020. You can view this year's finalists here!

Do I need to pay to attend the online event?

No this will be a celebration of all that is great about Local Government Frontline Services and it is free for you and your colleagues to attend. You will be asked to register everyone who wants to attend though so we can ensure everyone receives a joining link.

What time will this take place?

The event will take place starting at 2.00 PM and will end no later than 4.00 PM.

Dress code?

We have only one rule. No home-working joggy bottoms allowed! Its been a long wait so feel free to put on some glitz and glamour! Posh frocks and dickie bows are most definitely welcome as are elf outfits, Santa hats, crowns and capes. The choice is yours......

How do I get on to the event?

This is the easy bit. Once registered you will receive a Microsoft Teams link and easy to follow instructions no later than Friday 11 December. You will need internet access and ideally a laptop or pc with audio and ideally a video connection (web cam). Check out our bespoke guide to Microsoft Teams for further information.

Promoting excellence in public services, APSE is the foremost specialist in local authority frontline services, hosting a network for frontline service providers in areas such as waste and refuse collection, parks and environmental services, cemeteries and crematorium, environmental health, leisure, school meals, cleaning, housing and building maintenance.
