APSE is a not-for-profit body supporting our member local councils. We appreciate that COVID 19 has created a lot of disruption for public services, businesses and of course individuals within our communities.
Within APSE we are continuing to provide the vast majority of our services to members as these are capable of being delivered remotely. We have transferred some face to face seminar events to later dates in the year and our delegates, speakers and exhibitors have all been contacted by email if they are effected by those changes.
We would like to add that we are immensely proud of the work of our member local councils who are supporting communities across the UK. This has been a very testing time for local government with a major health emergency coming on the back of the recent flooding events which have tested the resilience of local areas. In response to these challenges, APSE has set up a rapid COVID 19 NETWORK. This will allow service managers to quickly post queries within the APSE network to deal with frontline service issues as they arise to ensure greater resilience and learning between each other. WhatsApp groups have been set and to join these groups to post questions please complete our online form so that we can record your interest.
As a socially responsible organisation we are of course keen to ensure that local areas, our member local councils and all those who supply or trade with local government are capable of recovering from this unprecedented impact to normal activity. We want to do everything we can to support our member councils at this difficult time. Please do get in touch to make any suggestions by email to Mo Baines on [email protected]
