Announcing the finalists of the APSE Service Awards 2024

Celebrating excellence in local public services!

Speaking about the Awards, Mo Baines, APSE Chief Executive, said: "Across local government, there is a multitude of people working to deliver the very best for their local communities. At a time when national politics is dominating the headlines, it is more vital than ever that we acknowledge the dedication of our frontline service teams and the positive impact they have on their communities.

“Frontline services have a profound impact on people’s day-to-day lives, and APSE is proud to give local authorities the recognition they deserve through the Annual Service Awards. This year’s finalists are a testament to the innovation, dedication and perseverance shown by the unsung heroes of local government across the UK. We can’t wait to celebrate with you.”

The APSE Awards are specific to frontline services provided by UK local authorities. The awards are agreed by a panel of expert judges. This year, the Awards include 17 categories, covering the vast majority of local services. The shortlist for the prestigious Overall Council of the Year Award is still under deliberation and will be announced at a later date.

The winners will be announced at the APSE Annual Charity Awards Dinner, in aid of Parkinson’s UK, on Thursday 12 September 2024 at the Mercure Bristol Grand Hotel.
