Partnering with ITN Productions, APSE have produced a news and long-form current affairs-style programme highlighting APSE's vision to encourage healthy, environmentally friendly and smart solutions for local communities.

APSE supports the importance of greener, cleaner and smarter approaches that give direct and indirect benefits to local communities. Through the news items and participant films, ‘Future Communities: Greener, Cleaner, Smarter’ gives recognition to local councils and businesses who are taking innovative approaches. Whether through roads and street lighting, local environmental quality, leisure, local energy, health, well-being or digital initiatives the programme will bring together innovations which provide real outcomes for local communities. In spite of the current economic climate the programme showcases how councils and innovative businesses can be at the heart of supporting local economies and local communities.
