Ensuring Collaboration: One way ahead for public-private partnerships

Ensuring Collaboration: One way ahead for public-private partnerships

‘Ensuring Collaboration: One way ahead for public-private partnerships’ aims to stimulate further discussion over how elected members, local government officers and public service providers can work collectively to manage change and transformation in public-private partnerships. It adopts a pragmatic stance towards partnership working, which recognises the significance of the local contexts in which collaboration takes place, and which acknowledges the existence of the multiple ways of working in partnership or partnering with public and private organisations.  In keeping with this pragmatic perspective, the demands on partnerships will change over time as local needs evolve and the partnership enters different stages of its life cycle. This briefing sets out one way among many of navigating these moments of change and transformation.
