This course has been developed in response to the challenge of developing business cases for climate investment and securing funding. The course will explore the lifecycle of identifying objectives and desired outcomes; addressing the barriers of finance, capacity, skills and policy; to developing a business case and building relationships within the timeframe. Participants will leave with a greater sense of the process and what is needed to present a viable business case for investment.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the training, you will be able to:
- Identify desired outcomes and business benefits.
- Explore the barriers to developing investment and innovation.
- Evaluate the elements needed to construct a business case.
- Appraise the business case model through a variety of lenses.
- Explore stakeholder management and relationship building in the supply chain.
This course will be delivered online via Microsoft Teams. To access it, you will need a WiFi connection or mobile data hotspot. Downloading Microsoft Teams to your laptop, desktop or smart device will give a better performance and greater functionality throughout the day. This highly interactive training includes a mixture of presentations, video conferencing, group work, games, quizzes and video.
