APSE Policy Seminar 2019

About the seminar

As local councils face on-going austerity the concept of ‘New Municipalism’ has been explored by APSE as both a philosophical and practical prism in which to develop responses to support local communities, local people and local economies. Through innovative approaches to service delivery, developing entrepreneurial approaches to managing tight budgets, including developing new sources of income generation and through insourcing services back to local authority control, rebuilding capacity for positive interventions in local areas, New Municipalism is providing a positive framework for change.
