2020 has seen the biggest upheaval in council services since the 2nd World War. Those running leisure have been doubly hit by the forced closure of facilities and the ability to re-open with only limited capacity and increased costs. Past success in recruiting gym and swim memberships and reducing or eliminating any subsidy from the local authority has been blown wide open.
The industry is in a battle for survival and the future remains uncertain. This seminar attempts to bring together those representing in-house, trusts and the private sector to ask what that future might look like and explore options for how local authorities might deliver into the medium term.
We are all in this together and this seminar aims to cover some of the options moving forward.
