About this forum

This forum is suitable for officers and elected members considering insourcing a previously outsourced service. It will provide an analysis of the findings of APSE research on outsourcing issues and some of the structural problems that are encountered in outsourced services.     

This forum will provide an overview of issues that should be addressed when considering an option to insource a service, with an opportunity to question expert panels and to develop ideas with other delegates.

The forum will also consider adoption of practical measures to ensure that insourcing is a viable option, when this should ideally be considered, and the steps needed to make this a reality. Including contract reviews, outline business case development and putting in place an effective project team.

Forum Delivery

This event will be delivered on MS Teams and include expert speakers as well as industry voices who have insourced services. All delegates will have an opportunity to take part in online discussion workshops.
