The Environment Act 2021 received Royal Assent in November 2021. It has been trailed as legislation that will ‘protect and enhance our environment for future generations’.
The Act has a focus on clean air, restoring natural habitats, increasing biodiversity, reducing waste and make better use of our resources.
Expert speakers highlight how strategies are being developed, embedded and put into practice in local authorities, and the innovative approaches that are being adopted to achieve the council goals.
The event also presents the opportunity for delegates to ask questions, make comments and share information with officers and elected members from local authorities in the APSE Central Region.
