FIT for purpose: Developing solar PV projects at scale in local government
16 September 2015 - 12.30pm – 5.00pm
Hotel Colessio, Stirling
Supported by:
The workshop is designed to provide a practical understanding of the planning and implementation of solar PV projects for local authority housing, commercial roofs and ground mounted schemes on local authority owned land. It will look in detail at recent policy changes proposed by the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) in relation to financial subsidy regimes for solar PV (Renewables Obligation and Feed-in-Tariff ) and the implications for the delivery of projects by Scottish councils. The workshop will look at innovative funding solutions and options for local authorities and will use case studies of solar PV deployment for social housing, large roofs and ground mounted projects. The workshop will also consider issues relating to the grid and power sales. Expert speakers from both APSE Energy and the commercial solar PV sector will be available to provide advice and support for councils looking to deploy solar PV at scale on their own estate.
