Roadvert Ltd

Roadvert Ltd

Roadvert entered the Local Authority market in 2013 to compete against a vastly overpriced frame product that was in existence at that time with their unique lightweight frame system Spedian.
We offer great value and the highest service levels from our experienced team. They are dedicated in getting Council messages to their communities using refuse vehicles as mobile billboards- fast. We now supply Spedian changeable graphics to over 100 councils.

It became apparent that there was a great opportunity to create extra revenue for Councils by selling advertising space on the sides of refuse and recycling vehicles as billboards.
This had been tried by others before but failed. Why?

Advertisers needed to understand what size of audience they were going to get for their advertising pound.

Over five years, we developed an audience predictor split by EVERY Council in the United Kingdom. This is www.roadvertmedia.co.uk It means that each Council has their very own audience predictor. The software also verifies the audience after the campaign has been delivered.

We decided to launch a pilot ‘No Cost To Council’ revenue generations scheme for Councils called Roadvert Ads On The Move. This was just before the pandemic.

We employed experienced advertising sales personnel from the BT Phonebook sale team who understand the local markets and local businesses

With the pilot Councils, local businesses were marketed to with an agreed e-shot promoting this new out of home (OOH) ‘Local media’. We managed to secure local advertising and create revenue for the pilot Councils. The statistics are impressive with 92% of advertisers rebooking and some tremendous testimonials.

We are unique. No other company in the UK can deliver a fast change, reusable and recyclable to reuse graphic system, an audience predictor and verifier, a dedicated sales team and the knowledge that we have in the advertising sales market at NO COST to the Council.

Councils must sweat their assets such as, street furniture, roundabouts, and now the most powerful media opportunity to be launched, refuse and recycling vehicles, to generate third party income. There will be more ‘home workers’ now and in the future. The audience just got bigger.

Further developments for this media will be digital screens. The major barrier to entry is screen cost. However as a communication tool in current pandemic situation where information is changing frequently, this is a developing option.

iRoadvert Platform

Roadvert have developed Bluetooth technology for the sides of vehicles. Our beacons which are 33mm in diameter, broadcast information to client apps that the beacons are API’d to. These broadcasts are made from the iRoadvert platform.

We have called this ‘Last Yard’ .

Last Yard™ is location aware technology for mobile assets. It predicts and verifies the mobile asset audiences while on the move. Allows Councils to build community loyalty by broadcasting useful notifications to the customers smart device.

This information can vary by street and by time. The strategy of this technology is to get the residents to tie in with the council app and web site and save millions on leaflet marketing.

In summary, these refuse vehicles are not only very necessary to communities throughout the UK, they are a very powerful communication tool that supports modern communication technology at a very low cost and generating much needed revenue whilst supporting local businesses.
