Waste Collection Operative (Loader), Slough Borough Council

  • Pay Level: 4, £27,920 – £29,694 fully inclusive of Local Weighting Allowance

What you’ll be doing:

Slough Borough Council has a statutory responsibility to collect and dispose of household and trade waste from across the borough.

You will be responsible for collecting / delivering waste and recycled products ensuring compliance to the applicable legislation and demonstrating consideration and good customer service to the residents of Slough.

Working in a crew of three you will work as a team to collect household, trade waste and recycling from across the borough, depositing the waste at our disposal sites based in Colnbrook.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a large and dynamic council team that really makes a difference to the quality of life of Slough’s residents, ensuring a clean and safe environment.

Annual increments, where applicable, are usually payable on 1st April each year, subject to six months service in the post, until the maximum spinal column point of the level has been reached. The payment of annual increments is not automatic and is subject to satisfactory performance as assessed by your director.
