"Nine Shine on the Frontline" Announcing the APSE Overall Council of the Year Finalists!

Nine outstanding UK local authorities have been shortlisted for this year's "Big One"

This Award will recognise the best and most innovative local authority in the UK. Focusing on their delivery of frontline services, the Award seeks to celebrate those councils who are achieving excellent results in a wide range of different service areas.

Paul O’Brien, APSE Chief Executive, said, “The competition for this year's top prize has been filled with extraordinary examples of innovation, commitment and quality. Despite ongoing pressures such as COVID recovery and the cost of living crisis, the nine authorities shortlisted have demonstrated outstanding levels of resilience and ingenuity in supporting local communities across the UK. Congratulations to each of our finalists - and good luck in Swansea!"
