APSE Solutions and Liverpool City Council have created a unique procurement framework to make it easier for UK public authorities to embrace what many believe to be the future of refuse collection. Underground Refuse Systems (URS) are rapidly becoming the norm across Europe and are now taking off in the UK. Offering huge cost savings and a major reduction in carbon footprint, URS can be used to drive up recycling rates and transform the streetscape. They are popular with householders and virtually eliminate manual handling risks for the workforce.
The APSE/Liverpool framework provides access to the major suppliers of underground systems. From fully and semi underground units to compatible above ground containers, there is a system for every application. The framework also includes vehicle suppliers, providers of clever technology and maintenance contracts. It is a genuine one stop shop for URS.
This virtual free event is an opportunity to hear directly from the suppliers of these innovative systems. Participants will learn about the different systems available through the framework and how they can be used in a variety of locations and applications. There will be plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion, along with contact sharing to allow follow up conversations to take place. From sea fronts to new housing developments, to street improvement projects and commercial centres, underground bins save cost, reduce carbon and improve the environment.
