As you will be aware, the AGM provides an invaluable opportunity for APSE in Scotland to review its activities over the last year.  Given the extremely difficult circumstances COVID-19 has presented, this meeting will also provide a critical role in ensuring that any identified future goals and objectives of the Association continue to be directly linked to the views of the membership moving forward.

APSE’s Scottish chair, Vice chair and Advisory group chairs are elected at AGM and you should note that each post carries with it a personal allowance of £1,100 per annum (Scottish Chair £5,100 per annum).  In line with the democratic nature of APSE, these positions are open to nomination from all member authorities in Scotland.

APSE hopes to encourage, through these positions that there will be:-
•  Political Balance
•  Gender Balance
•  Wide representation of member authorities, with each appointment being made to a different member authority.  This will ensure that APSE Scotland has a fair and true representation within all its committees.

We hope you can attend the AGM and see on a first-hand basis the work of APSE in helping deliver continuous improvement across public services, as well as share experiences of the pivotal role local authorities played during the pandemic.  Please note that should you have any proposed motions, then these should be forwarded to the APSE office at least 21 days prior to the event.
