APSE Northern FREE seminar: Regeneration, housing and public realm

View Seminar Flyer

This seminar is an ideal learning and networking opportunity for elected members, officers and trade unions interested in the delivery of sustainable long-term solutions for local housing, regeneration and the environment.

The seminar will provide insights into how others are achieving quality outcomes in regeneration, delivering on housing needs and embedding local environmental quality and good public realm into their plans. This will include how we adopt our future planning strategies to incorporate better management of waste and better management of the local public realm into the future. The seminar will also look at the quality of new housing provision and creating neighbourhoods which attract local people to stay or move back into a local area.

There will also be an opportunity to explore how cross-boundary planning and development can help achieve inward investment by working collaborative with local councils and the business community.

This event is FREE for APSE northern region member councils and is open to officers and elected members as well as trade union representatives. It will be a useful learning and networking event to share examples of best practice,  generate a debate on innovation and share future ideas. All delegates will receive a delegate pack, a complimentary copy of APSE / TCPA research ‘ Housing the Nation: ensuring councils can deliver more and better homes’ and a hot networking lunch is included.
