The APSE Annual Service Awards, now in their eighteenth year, celebrate the very best in local government. All of the finalists presented best practice case studies in their respective categories, which showed them all to be frontrunners in implementing innovative ideas that support continuous improvement in local services.
Announcing the finalists, APSE Chief Executive Paul O’Brien said, “Once again, APSE has been blown away by the high standard of submissions for this years’ Service Awards. Despite the serious pressures on local government funding, these finalists have proven that they can continue to provide a first-rate service to communities across the UK. These awards are a testament to their creativity and dedication.”
The winners will be announced on the Thursday 13 September at the Sheraton Grand Hotel, Edinburgh following the APSE Annual Seminar 2018 ‘Greener, Cleaner, Smarter: Revitalising frontline services’ which attracts local government frontline specialists from across the UK with speakers from LGA, WLGA, Government speakers, NILGA, COSLA, the European Litter Prevention Association, Centre for Local Economic Strategies, as well as leading academics and many more.
