APSE is delighted to announce the winners of this year’s Highways and Street Lighting Apprentice Awards, in addition to the winners of the Highways, Street Lighting and Winter Maintenance Innovation Awards.
The Awards were presented at a glittering evening ceremony in Blackpool on day one of the APSE Highways, Street Lighting and Winter Maintenance Seminar.
Now in its second year, the Innovation Awards are one of APSE’s most competitive awards. Speaking of the finalists, Rob Bailey, APSE Principal Advisor for Highways, was delighted to see such a high calibre of entries this year, “Despite the serious issues local government faces at this time, it is wonderful to see such exciting projects being carried out by so many dedicated people. The finalists are a credit to their councils and their communities.”
Also in attendance was APSE Head of Communication sand Coordination Mo Baines. Speaking of the Apprentice Awards finalists, Mo said, “During National Apprenticeship Week earlier this month, we were reminded of the thousands of ambitious and highly intelligent apprentices across the country. Last night, we had the pleasure of celebrating some of these outstanding individuals. The Apprentice Awards underline just how vital apprenticeships are to ensuring excellence in the delivery of frontline services; they remain a highly rewarding and mutually beneficial investment for local authorities.”
Congratulations to the winners and finalists!
