Seminar objectives

‘Sweep stake: Are you gambling on the future of your service?’ will examine a range of approaches by local government to achieving standards of cleanliness with reduced resources. It looks at approaches to service delivery including in-sourcing, merging workforces and operations and consolidating/prioritising street cleansing services, as well as specific environmental issues such as litter, fly-tipping, bulky collections, side waste and dog fouling. The seminar will feature examples of excellence and innovation in generating income, increasing customer satisfaction, community empowerment, education and enforcement.
