APSE Cemeteries and Crematoria seminar: Bereavement Services – coming in from the cold

View the full programme here

The seminar will look at how despite these austere times, services are still being improved.

We will look at  the current and future issues for the service and consider case studies on how services have been improved. Areas considered will be how Bereavement Services have  created  new services which have increased levels of income and added value to the service whilst still being sensitive to the vulnerability of families at their times of loss.

Internationally renowned experts and government speakers will discuss how the issue of dwindling burial space is being addressed across the UK, as well as how The Scottish Government’s 10 point Funeral plan will be addressing funeral poverty. There will also be presentations on why there is a need to measure service quality and  what the benefits of natural burial can bring . There will also be several case studies of local authority Bereavement Services  success stories.

APSE will also provide examples of how it is improving its service offer to its members through explaining its new Land Audit Management system for cemeteries.

There will also be a wide range of exhibitors for delegates to see and discuss service needs with.

With such a high profile and packed agenda we do hope you are able to attend and hear the thoughts of our speakers and take the opportunity to network with colleagues.

APSE welcomes delegates to the event from across England, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland and it is our hope that you will be able to attend and participate in what will be a highly interesting and informative conference.
