Announcing the winners of the APSE Waste, Recycling, and Circular Economy Innovation Awards

APSE is thrilled to announce the winners of the 2025 Waste, Recycling, and Circular Economy Innovation Awards. These awards celebrate outstanding local councils who have used innovative ideas and solutions to tackle the current challenges facing the waste and recycling sector. The awards provide participating authorities with an opportunity to showcase their expertise, alongside the results that they have achieved.

Congratulations to all our winners and finalists, we are truly grateful for your dedication in advancing the cause of greening our communities with better waste and recycling and the circular economy.”

The winners were announced at an awards ceremony at the end of the Waste and Recycling Seminar 2025, held at the Nottingham Belfry Hotel, on Thursday 23 October 2025.

APSE (Association for Public Service Excellence) is a not for profit unincorporated association working with over 300 councils throughout the UK. Promoting excellence in public services, APSE is the foremost specialist in local authority frontline services, hosting a network for frontline service providers in areas such as waste and refuse collection, parks and environmental services, cemeteries and crematorium, environmental health, leisure, school meals, cleaning, housing and building maintenance.
