Summit Objectives
The theme of the Summit is ‘A Smart, Flexible Energy System – a role for local authorities’. We will be hearing from speakers on topics which will keep us informed about Government policy, new products and approaches, practical renewable energy related matters, case studies and expectations of the future - in other words the elements which need to be in place to provide an energy system which is smart and flexible, which local authorities can make a meaningful contribution to and which matches our vision of ‘the municipalisation of energy’.

APSE (Association for Public Service Excellence) is a not for profit unincorporated association working with over 300 councils throughout the UK. Promoting excellence in public services, APSE is the foremost specialist in local authority frontline services, hosting a network for frontline service providers in areas such as waste and refuse collection, parks and environmental services, cemeteries and crematorium, environmental health, leisure, school meals, cleaning, housing and building maintenance.
