Stepping into a supervisory role is always a challenge, and often comes without any formal training - leaving an individual to figure things out as they go. In response, APSE offers this popular supervisory skills course for team leaders across all frontline services.
This one-day skills development course explains what is meant by team leadership and team building. It provides direction to supervisors in supporting, motivating and developing their team, and explores practical tools such as interview skills and giving clear instructions.
The course will also consider a wide range of issues faced by supervisors in these challenging times for councils, including health and safety, and customer service.
