Seminar objectives

This annual feature in the APSE calendar returns again for a comprehensive look at the whole picture of Local Authority Environmental Services, including waste collection, street cleansing, grounds maintenance and parks services. 

On Tuesday 11 November, we will be looking at Waste, Refuse and Transport and on Wednesday 12 November, we will be looking at Street Cleansing, Street Scene and Parks.

It is suitable for colleagues at all levels of responsibility within these service areas, especially those with service transformation responsibilities and elected members who hold an Environment related portfolio.

Over the course of the two days, we’ll be looking at strategic issues, the state of the local authority services in 2014 and case studies of how other local authorities are responding to today’s challenges. The seminar will feature excellent speakers on compliance issues and delegates will enjoy afternoon workshops highlighting operational issues and solutions.
