Carbon Literacy Trainers

 

Fiona has worked in the local government space for more than 30 years.

Starting her career, on the frontline in youth and community services in 1992, Fiona is passionate about delivering outstanding services which make a difference in local communities.

Fiona has managed projects, programmes, and services across a broad range of local government settings, developing partnerships across the public, private and voluntary sectors. Her special interests are leadership and management, climate and the environment, equitable workforces, and professional development.

Fiona moved to APSE, as the Head of APSE Training, in 2019, where she oversees a team of core staff and Associate trainers in providing inspiring learning and development opportunities which nurture talent and enable professional growth.

Fiona is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, is Prince2 and MSP certified, has a Post-graduate Diploma in Business Administration (DMS), is a qualified teacher (QTS) with a PGCE in Secondary Education and is a Carbon Literacy Facilitator.

Fiona Sutton-Wilson 

Head of APSE Training

     

    Amy Caldow is a English Literature and Creative Writing graduate from Northumbria University. Amy joined APSE in November 2021 as the newly appointed Senior Training Officer, working alongside Fiona Sutton-Wilson to develop and deliver APSE's training portfolio. 

    Amy has a background in training and development, having spent much of her professional career working in the education sector. In Amy's previous role she managed teams delivering tailored maths and English tuition across South Manchester. Amy was instrumental in the implementation and roll-out of a virtual platform that supported education delivery during the first COVID-19 lockdown in March 2020. 

    Amy has significant experience in managing customer relationships through effective communication and is a passionate advocate for diversity & inclusion.

    Amy Caldow

      Malcolm Powers

      Malcolm is an experienced trainer, facilitator and consultant, specialising in climate governance, social media, communications, and stakeholder management.

      Malcolm is a former Councillor and Cabinet Member on Reading Borough Council, where he held portfolios for Environment and Community. He was responsible for mainstreaming Local Agenda 21 within the Local Authority.

      As well as having worked in the political field for over twenty years with both local, and national government, Malcolm has recently completed an MSc in Climate Change at Birkbeck, University of London. In addition to designing and delivering training, he currently works with climate NGOs and national politicians providing policy analysis and communications advice including the design and implementation of social media strategies

      Malcolm uses his practical experience and theoretical knowledge in the design and delivery of courses which are both relevant and engaging.

      Lucy Bramley

      Lucy Bramley Lucy is delighted to have been invited to be an Associate of APSE Training. Lucy’s background is in leadership, management and coaching in the IT sector. Lucy has led technical teams in the services and sales divisions of IBM and latterly Microsoft, in UK and Europe. Lucy has a BSc with First Class Honours in Social and Environmental Science and is currently undertaking an MSc in Green Economy at Bournemouth University. Lucy is an executive coach accredited by the Association for Coaching. Lucy also enjoys volunteering as a Climate Ambassador with a women’s charity. Lucy’s passion is to work within local communities on sustainability, self-reliance, and positivity. She has been a Parish Councillor, with a focus on greening initiatives such as recycling and retrofitting and is currently one of a small team setting up a Community Benefit Society for Community Renewable Energy where she lives in the New Forest, sponsored by the District Council there.
