Do you feel there are not enough hours in your day? Are your tasks constantly piling up, with a backlog you never seem to be able to shift?

The demands of your time working in a local authority and public service have never been greater. Deadlines seem to be shorter; yet more tasks appear on your desk or inbox to be managed as well as your day job, thus increasing your workload.

APSE training has revised this popular time management course to be delivered in our virtual classroom. This one-day skills development course will help you learn how to give yourself a head start on your day and achieve the most out of it through better time management. This will not only help you to manage your time effectively, but also relieve the pressure and stress put upon you.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the training you will:

  • learn how to prioritise urgent and important tasks
  • increase awareness of the benefits of forward planning and scheduling
  • recognise the importance of flexible time management
  • identify problems, delays and ‘time-eaters’
  • develop your self-reflection skills
  • understand how to reduce the pressure on yourself and others
  • gain knowledge of time management tips for continuous success including traditional methods and modern technology

This course will be delivered online via Microsoft Teams. To access it, you will need a WiFi connection or mobile data hotspot. Downloading Microsoft Teams to your laptop, desktop or smart device will give a better performance and greater functionality throughout the day.  This highly interactive training includes a mixture of presentations, video conferencing, group work, games, quizzes and video.

Who Will Benefit?

  • Staff in a role working to tight deadlines and targets
  • Those who need to manage multiple tasks and projects
